Time has come!

In November 2024, during our annual church conference, The Convergence, hosted by Regions Beyond, I felt God placing a burden on my heart to be activated not just for me but for others too. As the sermon on searching for the lost sheep was being preached, God deeply touched my heart. That evening, as we sat on the carpet, Steve Oliver, the Overseer of Regions Beyond, who moves in an apostolic gift and has planted many churches, joined us for dinner. Prompted by God, I asked, “Steve, we are in a place where we are asking God what’s next for us?” With a grin, Steve looked at us and said, “Vicky and Bubblee, you are called to plant a church!”

We were in disbelief, wondering if we were truly called to plant a church. As many thoughts raced through our minds, Steve prayed for us and released a prophetic word that God was launching us to the nations and that it was time to step in. In a miraculous moment (a true “God moment”), a man of God who was passing by joined us in prayer. Though he didn’t know us, we knew him for his great testimonies and how God used him and his family in the unreached parts of Indonesia.

As we finished praying, Steve told us that JW and his family had moved to Penang, Malaysia, in July 2024 and that he sensed God calling us to Penang. It’s an island in the Malacca Strait, and they had been praying for an Indian couple to join and support them. As things started moving quickly, Steve prayed that God would confirm His word with more prophetic confirmations within the next 24 hours.

Within just few minutes, we entered the next session, where Andy McCollough brought a word that God was calling people to the islands and stepping onto the islands to reach the islanders. That night, still processing everything, our son Caleb woke up at 5 AM, pointing to one end of the room, saying, “Mumma, I see grapes! I see grapes!” This immediately reminded us of the story of Joshua and Caleb, when they spied out the land and brought back a cluster of grapes, signaling the land God was giving them.

On the last day of the conference, while we were waiting in line for coffee, a lady approached Vicky and said she felt like telling us that God was calling us to the islands. Just as Steve had prayed, God gave us three confirmations within 24 hours. It was one of the most fulfilling days of our lives, though the future began to look scary and bleak.

Time has come!

“But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
