Taking a Step of Faith
As the conference ended and we returned to our daily routines, God continued to minister to us, reassuring us that He was with us on this journey and reminding us of how He guided us through our early days in Dubai. Coming from a new generation of believers, while our hearts were in the right place, our flesh began to raise questions: “We have such good jobs here, the children are in great schools, we have established relationships with friends who are like family, we’re well-settled, and we recently bought a house—how would the kids adjust there?” so and so forth. These are natural thoughts anyone would have, but God reminded us of Deuteronomy 32:11, where an eagle stirs up its nest, hovers over its young, spreads its wings, catches them, and carries them aloft. God was shaking our comfortable nest, showing us it was time to fly, to take a leap into His greater purposes. He would teach us to soar and catch us if we fell.
He reminded us again of our early days in Dubai, how He had led us through uncertainty then, and assured us that He would go before us and prepare the way. What an amazing God we serve! That was the moment we decided—we were ready to leave drop our lives in Dubai, our corporate jobs, and our comfort zone behind. Everything we had was given to us by Him, and we were willing to give it back to the One who is calling us to His work.
